HAYES, James Albert
HAYES, James Albert - 65, Brooklyn, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 29, 2008, at home. He was the son of the late Albert Hayes and brother of the late Frank Hayes. He is survived by his mother, Mildred (Mood) Hayes; sister, Doris (Doug) White; loving wife of 42 years, Jackie (Trefry); daughter, Linda O'Connell (Earl Hersey) of Port Maitland; son, William Hayes of Yarmouth; daughter, Tanya (Elmer) Doucette "Daddy's little girl", Swan Lake, Man.; grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle and Craig O'Connell, Hannah and Dominique Doucette. He was a self-employed carpenter prior to establishing the Christmas tree plantation with his brother, Frank. He lived a simple life, close to nature, enjoying hunting and fishing from his camp in Kempt, as well as camping with family and friends at Chebogue Point. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth. There will be no funeral or flowers by family request. A gathering of family and friends for a sharing of memories will be held at his home on Friday, March 7, from 2-7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Brooklyn Cemetery.
